The Temple of Sobek was shared with Horus the Elder, bugun in the 2nd century BC by Ptolemy VI & completed by later Ptolemaic and Roman rulers. In the Roman Sanctuary of Hathour to the south of the main temple mummified Nile crocodiles are on display. Although on the day we visited this section was closed.
