Why Do I Shoot Street Photography?
There are many reasons for partaking in “Street Photography” – “Social Photography” – “Documentary Photography” or what -ever we like to call it.
As a lover of travel, I find it the best way to document the feeling of the location be it good or bad. As a documentary practice it can form an uncensored record of public life reflecting decisions we make as a global society. I also find it hones your visual senses by finding an image opportunity in a fleeting moment.
Today with Smart Phones and affordable digital cameras, Street Photography is easily accessible to many requiring no travel, models or lights. Online platforms such as Instagram, Facebook etc photographers can share their work with a global community.
