Covid-19 Personal Information Collection Notice:

Currently under the Queensland Government’s approach to easing restrictions for COVID-19, businesses are required to collect contact information for all customers, workers and contractors for a period of at least 56 days if they wish to re-open their business or offer their services to an increased number of customers.

The Restrictions on Businesses, Activities and Undertakings Direction specifies that this information includes: Name – Address – Mobile Phone Number.

The purpose of collecting this information is to assist authorities in tracing infections of COVID-19 if they occur. In many cases businesses we are already collecting this information in our standard Privacy Policy as detailed below. We are adequately equipped to adhere to the privacy laws and requirements.

We are committed to keeping our clients safe and are collecting this information of all people we meet and photograph in the course of operating our business.

Our Privacy Policy covers the aforementioned businesses and explains how we handle your personal information, whether you are a client or you have requested a quotation for our marketing and or photographic services.

As a small business, Fox Media Marketing, Clive Fox Photography and Studio 7 applies privacy principles set out in Australia’s Privacy Act 1988. These privacy principles guide how we collect and manage your personal information.

We are also members of the Australian Institute of Professional Photographers (AIPP) and Professional Photographers Association of Queensland (PPAQ).

What is Personal Information?
Collecting and storing information about customers is a standard practice for many businesses. For example, businesses commonly store and collect information when taking reservations, fulfilling orders, taking payments and confirming appointments.

It is this information that identifies you or could reasonably lead to you being identified. Fox Media Marketing, Clive Fox Photography and Studio 7 hold limited personal information. The type of personal information we hold depends on our relationship with you.

In general the following applies:
Website visitors: You have requested us to contact you and have submitted information via our online contact form

Prospective Clients: We have your contact details and understand the type of services we offer that you might want.

Existing Clients: We have your contact details, the type of service that we have previously supplied, payment information, bank account details and where applicable photographic images.

Collecting personal information:

We collect personal information when you:
• send us an email
• fill out a form (online or on paper)
• verbally answer questions that we ask you either face to face or on the phone
• contact us via social media

We only require a minimum of personal information to provide you with our services and are careful only to ask for information that is reasonably necessary.

Personalising our Service: We might ask you for details that help us provide you with a more personalised service. For-instance if you were a marketing client of ours we might ask about your favourite sport/ pastime. This would allow us to perhaps provide you with a complimentary ticket to a sporting event that you follow in the event that a ticket became available to us.

If a photography client, we might also ask for any pertinent anniversary or birthday so we may send you a card on those milestone dates.

It is most important to note that you are not required to provide this information.

Accuracy:
Before we use your personal information for example, send you an email or invoice, we may double check with you to make sure it is accurate and up to date.

What we do with personal information, and who we give it to:

We use and disclose your personal information only for the purpose for which we collected it. Example of this would be calling or emailing you and providing you with a marketing or photographic service. Fox Media Marketing, Clive Fox Photography and Studio 7 will not sell or share your personal information with other third parties including advertisers, sponsors, content providers or anyone else – unless:
• There is a lawful ability or requirement for us to do so
• We have your permission

Copyright:
Is Copyright and Privacy the Same?
No, Privacy is about the collection and handling of your personal information, your images, and the other personal details you give us.
Copyright is about our ability to use the images we capture of you as part of our suite of original work. This is set out in our contract forms
Should you wish not to allow us to perhaps use your image for our own marketing purposes please let us know.

Keeping your personal information safe:
At Fox Media Marketing, Clive Fox Photography and Studio 7, we securely manage and dispose of personal information.

Third party service providers:
We use contracted third-party service providers to help us manage aspects of our business, such as accountants, web based sharing sites (for example WeTransfer or Dropbox) with images of you for proofing. We would also send your images to our prefered printing supplier for printing.

Some of the personal information collected by us may, be managed in an off-shore or “cloud-based” environment by our service providers. It is a condition of our agreements with these providers that we remain in control of what happens to the personal information they manage on our behalf and that is kept secure.

Social Media and Third-Party Websites:
Fox Media Marketing, Clive Fox Photography and Studio 7 have Instagram and Facebook accounts as well as our websites Fox Media Marketing.com.au - Clive Fox Photography.com.au. and CFFOTO.com.au, plus and not limited to websites that provide a service for people to find photography services.

Social media provides additional exposure to our business and is a powerful medium for our business profile. We will not share images of you on social media without your permission.
Should you allow us to post your images, be aware that personal information supplied to us through or posted by us on any social media outlet becomes captured by that outlet’s privacy policy.

Accessing and changing personal information we have about you:
We are happy to advise you what information we hold.
We will not divulge to another person or entity what personal information we hold about you, unless you give us permission to, or there is a lawful requirement for us to do so. If you think the personal information we hold about you is incorrect or out of date please advise us and it will be corrected.

Are cookies a risk to my privacy?

Fox Media Marketing and its associated websites use Google Analytics to gather anonymous information about visitors to our website. This information helps to us monitor and improve the website to improve user experience.
Google Analytics use cookies and JavaScript code to gather information about how visitors use our websites; to include, the number of visitors, the type of web browser used and which of our which of our pages were viewed. This information is automatically transmitted to and stored by Google on servers in the United States.

Can I Disable This?
Yes, you can choose not to allow Google to collect your information by opting out of Google Analytics or specifically opt out of Google Analytics Display Advertiser Features.

Updates to the Privacy Policy
We may update our privacy policy from time to time to ensure that our personal information practices are correctly reflected and up to date.
